Information Technology (IT) Intern at CARE International in Zimbabwe

The Information Technology (IT) Intern will be based in Harare reporting to the IT Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring the internet link and recording downtime as well as providing maintenance services on printers, desktop computers and photocopiers.

Key duties and responsibilities

Checking antivirus system for virus detections and exceptions; Generating weekly system and network availability reports; Providing technical support to users on various IT related requests; Participating in server configurations for network services; Participating in hardware installations and development, hardware maintenance and optimisation; Performing daily backup procedures; Checking power on server and network devices in the server room.

Qualifications, skills and experience

Recent graduate with a Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent; Hardworking and flexible; Able to communicate effectively at all levels; 1 year work related learning experience
