Innovative Mining Limited is a mining startup with exploration operations underway in Luapula. We are inviting applications for the position of Mining Engineer.

Contract type: 2 Years
Reporting to: the Head – Technical Operations

This position will be responsible for the following three functions:

1. Operations

• assessing the feasibility and the potential for the commercial benefit of new sites
• producing models or plans for possible mining sites
• planning and implementing extraction systems
• managing construction projects

2. Industrial Safety & Quality

• ascertaining extraction risks
• ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements
• making sure that the equipment used is safe

3. Production

• using specialist computer applications to maximize planning and production
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance

Other responsibilities will include:

• analyzing data
• keeping records
• managing budgets
• training and supervising staff
• liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff

Only candidates with the following minimum requirements will be considered:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 3 years work experience in the field
• A valid driver’s license
