JOB ADVERT- ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

A reputable Insurance Company with a wide network of branches invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill in the position of Accounts Assistant, reporting to the Assistant Accountant.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS, QUALITIES & ABILITIES

  • Full grade twelve certificate (GCE) with at least merit in Mathematics & English.
  • Finalist of ZICA Licentiate, ACCA Part II, CIMA Operational lever or equivalent.
  • Should be conversant with excel and word.
  • Knowledge and experience with accounting packages.
  • Should be able to meet deadlines, be flexible and use initiative.
  • Team player.
  • Should have at least two years working experience in financial accounting environment.
  • Must be registered with ZICA.
  • High degree of honesty and integrity.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Highly analytical and pays attention to detail
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent work ethics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  • Checking the completeness of receipts and payments at Head Office and Branches.
  • Preparation of Bank Reconciliations and also to follow up with the bank for unidentified entries.
  • Ensuring that all Company Transactions have been correctly posted into the General Ledger on a monthly basis.
