INTERNSHIP: Logistics Intern: CARE International in Zimbabwe

The position exists to provide logistical support to Programs in the following areas: Receiving and Dispatching Non Food Items, Vehicle Rental and Vehicle Performance Reports and Fuel Issuing Management and Procedures in the Masvingo Sub Office.

Specific duties
Maintaining records of all accessories in the vehicles and ensuring availability of appropriate First Aid Kits in vehicles with non-expired contents; Vehicle licensing and Insurance; Raising Good Received Notes for the office in Masvingo; Ensuring optimal storage conditions, up to date and accurate recording of all stock movements; Fleet management and record keeping; Informing the supervisor immediately about any mechanical problems, damage or missing items in the vehicles; Vehicle checklists and handovers

Qualifications and experience
Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree/ Higher National Diploma in Logistics/Transport or any relevant qualification; Minimum of 1 year attachment experience and exposure to logistics and transport environment in a similar environment; Technically conversant with motor vehicle mechanics and maintenance; Excellent written communication, liaison and representational skills; Good negotiation and facilitation skills; Excellent time management skills; Thorough understanding of Warehouse and Logistics core functions
