The duration of the internship is for three (3) months with a possibility of extension up to six (6) months.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the office to which they are assigned.

Organizational Setting and Reporting
Under the overall authority of the Director of Africa II Division and reporting to the Senior Military Liaison Officer in Africa II Division, the Intern supports the work of the West Africa Integrated Operational Team (WAIOT) responsible for covering the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI) and the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), and the Great Lakes Integrated Operational Team (GLIOT), which covers the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) and the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). The integrated operational teams are located within Africa II Division, in the Office of Operations (OO), Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO).
