Investrust Bank Plc, a growing indigenous commercial bank listed on the Lusaka Stock Exchange, is looking for qualified, self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to fill the following positions that have fallen vacant.
Position title: IT Officer – Application Support
Location: Lusaka Main Branch
Reporting to: Senior Manager – Applications Support
Purpose of the Job
The Job holder is responsible for providing first level Core Banking and Applications support while ensuring maximum availability and uptime of all systems.
Duties
- Ensuring that requests/ incidents are resolved within the specified period the SLA and escalate issues accordingly.
- Monitor user activity to ensure high availability of services
- Perform EOD process and application of updates/ patches where necessary
- Perform system and data backups in accordance with agreed cycles and ensure that all tapes/storage media are appropriately stored per Banks guidelines and standards.
- Ensure system reports, MIS reports and customer statements are available to the branch network and head office departments.
- Ensure weekly, monthly and yearly system maintenance updates are performed
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning/recovery strategies.
- Conduct testing, implementation and sign-off of all changes
- Ensure all changes are tested in liaison with other units in the information technology department
- Ensuring all test systems are fully operational
- Perform any lawful assignment given by superiors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/Information Technology/ Information Systems.
- At least two (2) years post qualifying experience in the ICT field in a Banking environment dealing with core banking application support.
- In-depth knowledge of Core Banking systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to think logically.
- Ability to work independently and good team member.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proactive and a self-starter
