Position Title: IT Officer Network Support x1
Department: Technology
Location: Head Office
Reports to: Manager – Technical Support
Purpose of the Job
This position is responsible for the provision of networking support while ensuring maximum availability and uptime. .
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure the Banks computer networks and systems are operating within the agreed SLA targets.
• Ensure that user requests/incidents are resolved within the specified period in the SLA and escalate issues accordingly.
• Design, install, configure, test, monitor, support, and maintain Local and Wide Area Networks, including electronic email according to best practice.
• Perform network analysis and capacity planning and testing as necessary Recommend upgrades, patches, and new networking applications and equipment
• Monitor networking system performance and ensure these are within optimum limits. • Maintain the integrity of network deployment and security.
• Test changes and upgrades infrastructure and ensures test results are well documented and changes/upgrades authorized before they are applied to the production and disaster recovery environment.
• Ensure the deployment of security patches and software to all machines on the network
• Conduct security checks on the Bank’s infrastructure in conjunction with IT Security
• Ensures all after-hours support is provided in line with Service Level Agreements to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform user access and log reviews. Ensure the Bank’s ICT policies and procedures are enforced.
• Participate in project implementations as necessary.
• Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning/ recovery strategies
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information
• Technology/Information Systems
• Minimum of three years proven experience in ICT field.
• Knowledge of Active Directory/MS Exchange is required.
• CISCO certification is an added advantage.
