MINING SURVEYOR (1)
We are looking for an experienced Mining Surveyor to be responsible for the surveying works. The goal is to discover the best ways to improve the way of doing business and people and reporting to the Geological Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Degree Holder or equivalent n survey
- Age limit: 35-50 years
- Minimum 5 years open cast miming survey experience
- Fully paid up member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
MEDICAL OFFICER (1)
We are looking for an experienced General Medical Practitioner to be responsible for all general ailments and health related matters of all the employees on the mine site and to set up a state of the art medical facility to meet all conditions. Industrial experience is an added advantage. Reporting to the CEO administratively and Human Resources Manager functionally
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Degree
- Full Registration with Health Professionals Councils of Zambia, current practicing licence
- Age 35-50 years
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
PROCUREMENT MANAGER (1)
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to be responsible for the supply of products and services essential for our company’s operations. You will sirategise to hnd the most cost-effective deals and suppliers. The goal is to discover the best ways to minimise our procurement expenses so that the company can invest in its growth and people and reporting to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Devise and employ fruitful sourcing strategies
- Discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalize details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
- Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
- Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements
- Control spends and builds a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
WORKSHOP MANAGER (1)
The Workshop Manager reporting to the Mine Manager is responsible for all the activity in the workshop and activities and responsibilities will include the following:
- Managing workshop activity — the Workshop Manager plans, assigns and reviews the work of all mechanics and electricians in the mine. He briefs the supervisors, who then supervise the work of the mechanics and electricians.
- Managing safety – workshops can be dangerous places in which to work and it is the responsibility of the Workshop Manager to ensure that the workshop s safely maintained, that all working areas are safe and that staff are fully trained to do their job efficiently and safely.
- Managing staff— the Workshop Manager makes recommendations regarding the recruitment, discipline and promotion of employees, authorises leave and overtime, advises employees on work related problems, evaluates and assesses employee performance.
- Liaising with other mine workers — the Workshop Manager will co-ordinate the need for maintenance and repair of operational equipment with other mine employees at managerial level, for example the Operations Directors, Mine Manager and other line managers.
