JTI Leaf Zambia Limited (JTI) is a tobacco leaf subsidiary of Japan Tobacco Incorporated, a leading international tobacco product manufacturer operating in 120 countries. Operating in Zambia since 2010, JTI has operations in Chipata, Kaoma and Lusaka where it supports and procures tobacco leaf from over 7,000 small scale and commercial farmers.
JTI invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced people to fill the following vacant position in Zambia:
ADET Driver, Chisamba (X1)
Position Purpose
Reporting to the ADET Administration Supervisor, the Driver will:
- Operate assigned vehicles safely and with caution and ensure that defensive driving is practiced always.
- Carry out daily inspections of company vehicles to identify hazards; keep vehicle clean and road worthy.
- Manage requests and instructions through planned efficient driving schedules with manager.
- Manage multiple and frequently changing tasks in communication with the office.
- Maintain logs and records accurately and correctly according to established company procedures, including: fueling, trip sheets, log books, maintenance records, incident reports, accident reports and others as requested.
- Carry out any other tasks requested by direct supervisor.
Education
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Clean and Valid driving License.
Experience
- At least 3 years experience of passenger transportation and defensive driving.
Language
- Fluent in English.
The incumbent will be expected to live on site. Unfurnished accommodation and utilities will be provided by the employer.
