POSITION TITLE: JUNIOR HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

REPORTS TO (TITLE): SUPERVISOR HUMAN RESOURCES
LOCATION: LUSAKA HQ
DIVISION/SECTION: HUMAN RESOURCES
DIRECT REPORTS: TBA

II. JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor Human Resources, the Junior Human Resources Officer will provide general HR support to ensure the implementation of a sound human resources support system for Zambia Airways.

III. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with day to day efficient operations of the HR functions;
  • Assist in the recruitment process by participating in the reviewing of CVs, calling candidates, scheduling interviews and collecting reference checks;
  • Assist in dealing with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules and regulations;
  • Assist in handling complaints and grievance procedure;
  • Provide accurate and timely data, reports, analytics and recommendations for decision making;
  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
  • Takes disciplinary measures as necessary in consultation with Supervisor Human Resources;
  • Perform all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

IV. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of Diploma Human Resources, Business Administration or any relevant field of studies
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Human Resources
  • Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
