Channel Managers

We are looking for an experienced Channel Managers to be based in Lusaka, Central, Southern and Eastern. They will be responsible for creating and sustaining new sales, contracting, establishing and keep a good working rapport with resellers, various departments and dealing with channel programs. As a Channel Manager you will need to communicate well with clients about products and offered services. You will works with promotion to increase sales through events and other activities, as well as expand relationships of existing customers. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience managing the sales and marketing of target-oriented organization while taking accountability for reaching targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementing customer presentations, overseeing account profiles, monitoring competitor activity, help all communications with resellers, creating plans for growing market share and communicating channel activities.
  • Provide systems and creates partner management by attending trade shows, seminars, product launchings and other events.
  • Ensure that documentation of presentations, financial reports, supplier contracts, price quotations and other paperwork are prepared.
  • Direct and commercialize activities, making sure that propositions (Azuri Home Solar Units) are ‘ready-to sell’ and executed on schedule and to budget.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
  • Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Support Agent Managers with day-to-day store operation
  • Evaluate  individual performances
  • Report on regional sales results
  • Forecast quarterly and annual profits
  • Identify hiring needs, select and train new salespeople
  • Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
  • Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
  • Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
  • Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
  • Drive initiatives to stem balance sheet leakages, like OOC, client acquisition cost
  • Ensure effective execution through the Agent Managers of value adding promotional and sponsorship programs.
  • Drive the marketing strategy complimenting all product sales and channel products
  • Ensure effective Value management for Products and Channel marketing activities
  • Prepare and implement performance agent  management contracts and ensure regular performance reviews
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development of agent managers and supervisors
  • Coach staff on product offerings and sales best practice

  • Availability to travel as needed
  • Diploma/BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Professional Membership of the Relevant Body (ZIM)
