JOB OPPORTUNITY – LAB TECHNICIAN

Eastern Water and Sewerage Company Limited (EWSC) is a Commercial Water Utility Company providing water and sanitation services to seven districts in Eastern Province and Chama in Muchinga Province. The company requires the services of a LAB TECHNICIAN who should be prepared to start work at the shortest possible time. The position requires a dynamic, self-motivated person to be based in Chipata at the Central Laboratory.

JOB MAIN PURPOSE

To undertake a variety of laboratory testing of water and sewerage to determine the safety before and after treatment in the water, sewerage treatment, distribution and transmission systems as well as assisting the Quality Assurance Officer by performing other basic routine laboratory tests and quality assurance procedures.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma / Degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry or Related Field
• Not less than Two (2) years of work experience in a similar position.
