In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the HR Manager in implementing the HR agenda and driving key people processes.
Among other responsibilities, you are expected to:
- Recruit, screen, interview and appoint new staff and ensure that new employee is inducted into the organization
- Negotiate with Unions, other stakeholders to secure the interest of company and workers
- Support, coach and train managers and all employees in understanding and dealing with Industrial Relations issues
- Review policies, conditions of employment, in line with current legislation; and keep record of system and inform employees of changes
- Work with managers, Supervisors and individuals to understand and identify training and development needs
- Ensure that employees holding critical roles have Job descriptions and individual development plans
- Support, monitor and track graduate development and internship programmes
- Ensure timely processing of key HR information and manage personnel data on the HRIS system
- Prepare and analyse monthly HR Reports and dashboards.
- Track, monitor and report on monthly FTE and Labour cost budgets and ensure that all variances can be justified and rectified for the following month
If you have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant progressive experience in Human Resources
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office packages is essential
- In depth knowledge on local applicable legislation and statutes
- Understands basic forces in a business environment and how to balance the interests between staff and organization
- Good communicator
- Team leadership skills
