JOB LEVEL: Senior Manager
LOCATION: Lusaka, Zambia

JOB PURPOSE:

Maximize revenues of the sales team through the planning and management of sales activities. Maintain effective communications with general management level and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of the sales force.
Supervision of contracts, direct sales, customer acquisition, customer retention, customer relations and related financial performance in order to achieve subscriber, revenue and market share growth targets.

REPORTING TO THE ENTERPRISE DIRECTOR, MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintain high penetration of all company’s products/services through effective channel management
  • Maintains expertise in company’s products/services to effectively manage sales activities
  • Achieve subscriber volumes, revenue and market share objectives
  • Planning and execution of annual corporate customer business plans
  • Develop a corporate sales business plan
  • Review Marketing research feedback evaluate and monitor overall corporate segments
  • Define proposal requirements with corporate
  • Manage the overall channel debt portfolio as per acceptable debt ratios
  • Set up track and manage sales budgets to ensure budget achievement
  • Analysis and review of pricing as per market needs

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business
  • Masters in Business Administration/Marketing would be preferred additional qualification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE OR SKILLS

  • 8+ years of experience in effective business management
  • 3 – 5 years of sales experience in within Telecommunication industry, insurance or banking
  • 3+ years at middle management level

  • Highest level of knowledge of all products
  • Able to handle, prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to innovate and deliver value to business at multiple levels will play an important role
