The Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) is an institution created under the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Act (No. 13 of 1998), read together with the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (Amendment) Act No. 11 of 2005. Its general function is to regulate, coordinate and monitor technical education, vocational and entrepreneurship training in consultation with industry, employers, employees and other stakeholders.
Internal Auditor
Responsibilities
  • Executing and completing audit work according to established schedule recommending, internal control improvements, systems and procedures of the Authority
  • Examining the effectiveness of all levels of staff in their stewardship of Authority resources and their compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Preparing timely, well written, quality draft audit reports
  • Recommending improvement to internal controls designed to safeguard Authority assets, resources, and ensure compliance with Government laws and regulations
  • Carry out routine and non-routine audit work
  • Maintaining appropriate working relationship with the Authority is staff
  • Identifying, developing and documenting audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
Qualifications
  • Finalist ACCA or ZICA or equivalent qualification
  • Member of  ZICA
  • Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors will be an added advantage
  • Three years work experience in the public sector in a similar position
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A team player, good organizer, honest and professional
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and pastel software applications
  • Must be able to exercise high levels of integrity, diligence and due care when carrying out duties and responsibilities
  • Three years auditing work experience, one of which must be in a public auditing environment
Stores Officer
Responsibilities
  • Receiving incoming materials or supplies, counts items received checks against orders, recording any discrepancies
  • Preparing receiving reports, notes any shortages or damages and takes appropriate action
  • Performing effectively the storage of goods in order to ensure their availability and safe custody
  • Undertaking and monitors timely distribution of goods to ensure their availability to end-users
  • Undertaking effectively the identification and protection of obsolete, redundant, scrap and surplus goods to facilitate their disposal
Qualifications
  • Have full Grade 12 Certificates/ five O Levels
  • CIPS Advanced Diploma
  • Be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply (ZIPS)
  • Working Knowledge of PATEL Accounting software
  • Have high integrity
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Good inter-personal relationship
  • Evidence of success in forming, building and driving forward relationships and working flexibly, across professional and operational boundaries
  • Computer literacy
  • PASTEL Accounting software
  • One year stores Experience
