Long/short Term volunteer Lecturers
Background:
ZACU is owned by the BICC – Zambia. The University is in the process of applying to Higher Education Authority for registration as a Private Higher Education Institution and would commence its academic activities in July 2017.
Given that the University is in its infancy stage, ZACU is looking for both short and long term, full and part time volunteer lecturers in all its programmes/programs, who will not only contribute to teaching and research, but will also willing to take a leadership role in moving forward the programmes/programs.
Places of work:
  • Business and IT programmes/programs at Nahumba
  • Bio. Med. and Nursing programmes/programs at Macha
  • Religious Education and English programme/program at Sikalongo
The three campuses are in Choma District – Zambia.
Lines of accountability
The overseas lecturers will have visiting lecturer appointments with the University. Their immediate supervisors will be programmes coordinators. The lecturers will also work closely with campus in charges.
Remuneration
These are volunteer positions, but ZACU will provide housing for overseas lecturers.
Requirements
  • Applicants must be authorities in their fields with master degrees or better from any reputable University.
  • Applicants must have some years of University Senior Secondary School full-time teaching and research experience with ability to initiate and supervise research projects.
  • Administrative experience will be an advantage.
  • Successful applicants must be able to give academic and professional leadership in their fields.
  • Evidence in terms of certificates and practical demonstration of Computer literacy is required.
