Legal Counsel
Main Responsibilities
- Legal assistance to the Huawei device department in the implementation, drafting and negotiation of agreements
- Advice regarding labour issues
- General contract review negotiation
- Dispute negotiation and management
- Familiarity with device and marketing business models
- Policy drafting and implementation
- Legal training of employees as required
- General legal research and opinions
- Manage external legal counsel
- Support the device department in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mauritius, Madagascar and Botswana
Qualifications
- Advocate of the High court of Zambia
- Four years post admission/qualification experience
- Computer literacy in Microsoft office
- Strong team player
- Ability to plan, organise and work well under pressure
- Willing to travel within and outside the country as required
- Excellent command of English
- Familiar with laws and regulations relating to telecom devices, consumer protection and E-commerce transactions
