Job Summary: Under immediate supervision by the Primary Coordinator, the Art Teacher is responsible for aiding in the implementation of LLP’s (Little Legends Primary) Art program according to our extracurricular activity standards and our handbook in accordance to LLP’s mission, vision and core values. To develop in each pupil an understanding of art, craft and drawing, to develop interest, skill, talent, and coordination in individual and team activities, in accordance with each pupil’s ability.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 20 years old and above
  • Must be a Christian with at least 3 years testimony of Christian faith or open to the Christian Faith and willing to adhere to the LLCC code of conduct which has a Christian basis and is non-negotiable.
  • Fluent in English, both reading and writing
  • Certification in Art
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in this field
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) training and experience necessary to develop consistent, stable, and supportive relationships with parents of children in our program.

 

Must be able to do the following:

  • Draw, paint, create crafts and be creative
  • Communicate effectively with children, their parents, and other staff.
  • Provide quality, nurturing care and education to children enrolled in the program.
  • Conduct and document developmental screenings and assessments of subordinate staff.
  • Maintain effective, working relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Support the ideals and policies of the school and to implement the school’s philosophy and objectives.
  • Assume responsibility for the education of the students in his/her class(es).
  • Develop the content of curriculum in relation to the school’s philosophy, objectives and the Zambian syllabus.
  • Assist in ensuring the safety of all children in the school and intervene if conflict should arise between any students.
