A development and management consulting firm which provides advisory, consulting and research services in food and agriculture, business, financial services, livelihoods, environment, and natural resources sectors seeks the services of two full-time Managers to support the agricultural value chain strengthening initiatives of a partner organization.

1. Scope of Work

  • To support overall delivery of the Partner organizations 2019 strategy by developing and delivering relevant initiative strategies; and
  • To deliver Agricultural Value Chain Strengthening Initiatives

2. Responsibilities

  • Develop the Value Chain Strengthening Initiatives as well as devise the necessary activities and workplans
  • Implement the devised initiatives. This will include the development of terms of reference, development of grant concepts/proposals and workshops.
  • Help in the design and implementation of monitoring & evaluation tools for the various initiatives
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders working for the partner organization
  • Report regularly, timely and accurately on various interventions

3. Qualifications and Requisite Skills

The successful candidate is expected to a have a suitable university degree and a minimum of three years working with the private sector or donor-funded projects, dealing with grants and/or contracts and managing financial and other reporting requirements. Knowledge of the agricultural sector and private sector development are desirable.

The successful candidate is also expected to have the following attributes;

4. Duration of assignment

The initial assignment will be from April 2019 to December 2019. This will be renewable subject to performance and availability of funding.
