Manager (Finance & Administration): National Remote Sensing Centre
The National Remote Sensing Centre is a statutory body established through Statutory Instrument No. 137 of 1999 of the Science and Technology Act No. 26 of 1997 to spearhead the development and application of space science, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS) in Zambia.

position of Manager (Finance & Administration).
The Manager (FA) is responsible for overall financial and administrative functions of the NRSC. The position entailed management and leadership of departmental staff members. It is a senior management position within the NRSC, classified in the scale of RSC02. The Manager (FA) reports to the Director.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage and update the accounting and financial control systems
- Prepare and manage payments in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure all financial transactions are appropriately recorded in the accounting system, according to standards and procedures
- Prepare monthly financial reports, in accordance with accounting calendar
- Year end internal and external audits
- Process the confidential payment of monthly payroll
- Coordinate payment of all required taxes and NAPSA contributions
- Reconcile bank records and prepare the monthly bank report
- Participate in the procurement process for goods and services
- Grant management
- Manage human resource records for employees including employment contracts, annual evaluation forms and annual leave tracking.
- Logistical organization for events such as workshops and meetings
- Regular updates to the Director on administrative and financial tasks
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required experience and qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and professional Accounting such as ACCA and CIMA. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years working experience with at least 3 years in a finance and administration management position. Experience of working in the science and technology sector will be an added advantage
- Thorough knowledge of the Zambian taxation and fiscal statutory regulations
