GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

JOB TITLE: MANAGER, OPERATIONS AND EXECUTIVE EDUCATION (1 POSITION)

Purpose: Responsible for the administration of the School’s operations and the development and implementation of executive education programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Director on the development and implementation of the School’s strategy;
  • Establishes effective operational systems and procedures;
  • Ensures the preparation of a procurement plan and budget for the Graduate School of Business;
  • Develops plans for the Executive Education Programmes of the Graduate School of Business;
  • Oversees the day to day operations of the customer service, information technology, marketing and business development;
  • Oversees service level agreements on best practice in the delivery of executive online courses by monitoring student feedback for online delivery and resolving any problems arising thereof;
  • Monitors expenditure against the budget in the Executive Education Programmes and enforces action to ensure operations are within budget;
  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships with the corporate sector and partner University to support the School’s Executive Education Programmes;
  • Oversees preparation of brand guidelines for the Graduate School of Business handbooks, brochures, Journals and other marketing collateral and publications;
  • Coordinates delivery of executive education programs;
  • Monitors and ensures that all staff are following a performance management plan;
  • Enforces discipline among subordinate staff in accordance with the University’s code of conduct;
  • Orients newly employed staff and supervises the same to ensure adherence to approved set standards and procedures; and
  • Prepares regular performance review reports to guide decision making by the Director and School Management;

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field from a reputable University;
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or Finance, or related field from a reputable University;
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience; and
  • Must be Computer literate.
