Job Responsibilities

Attend training of research assistants
Conduct quantitative/qualitative data collection
Interview recording and note taking
Submit data on a daily basis to the research coordinators
Conduct any other duties as assigned by the research coordinators specifically pertaining to the end line evaluation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Community Development, Education, Early Childhood Development (ECD) or any other relevant discipline and at least two years’ experience working in a research position, or
Diploma in Social Sciences or any other relevant discipline with at least four years working in a research position.
Experience in using ODK for data collection
Experience in mobilizing and facilitating FGDs and conducting KIIs
Excellent communication skills
Ability to communicate in the local language
Experience working in child-related research is an added advantage

TOR for interview transcribers

Job Responsibilities

Attend training of interview transcribers together with the research assistants
Listen to the recorded material and type the material in a word document
Compile the transcripts in a word document and submit to the research coordinator[

Qualifications

Ability to listen
Fast and accurate typing skills
Excellent command of the language – both formal as well as colloquial, grammar, and punctuation
Two years’ experience in interview transcriptions
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences or any other related discipline
