Meanwood Agriculture Limited is a fully Zambian owned company engaged in Livestock Production. It was established to undertake transformative livestock investments that include sustainable agricultural activities that contribute to social and economic development of the rural communities,  and the national economy by embracing the government policy of agricultural diversification. The Company is embarking on an expansion of its livestock operations and seeks to employ eligible and suitably qualified Zambian candidates for the following positions.

LIVESTOCK OFFICERS – (x6)

Role Overview

Reporting to the Livestock Manager. The MAL Livestock Officers will be responsible for the day to day running of each ranch ensuring high productivity that meets operational and financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Setting budgets and production targets for the ranch,
• Contributing to the overall management of the farm resources i.e. financial, livestock, crops, machinery, human resources etc.
• Developing and managing mating programmes to ensure breeding targets are achieved.
• Maintenance and reconciliation of livestock records.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Agriculture specializing in livestock production.
• 5 years practical experience working in a large cattle/goat ranch.
• Ability to manage livestock on improved pastures and/or feedlot management.
• Should be computer literate and be able to work with MS Office Suite.
• Should be honest and have integrity.
• Should have a valid drivers license.
