Mechanics Wanted: J&J Transport Zambia Ltd – July 2017

J&J Transport Zambia Ltd. is urgently looking for suitably qualified, highly effective, energetic, proactive graduates with high integrity and accountability to fill the following position:

Position: Mechanic

Reports to: Workshop Foreman

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must possess full Grade 12 School Certificate and be a certificate holder in auto electrical craftsmanship, or pneumatic craftsmanship or mechanical craftsmanship;
• Must possess knowledge of auto electrical circuits on heavy duty vehicles;
• Should have experience in engine overhauls, gearbox and diff changes;
• Ability to follow routine procedures for scheduled maintenance and conduct daily and all-inclusive systematic checks of entire Fleet;
• Keenness to use tools and equipment to perform tasks requiring precision and strength and stamina to work with heavy tools and materials;
• Willingness to work on weekends and travel outside of Lusaka for rescue breakdowns.
