Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in in the Commercial Division under the Corporate Banking Department at Head Office.

Responsibilities

  • To provide support to the sales team and after sales support to merchants ensuring that the Bank procedures are adhered to whilst enhancing the customer experience through (Point of Sale) POS
  • Under the supervision of Merchant Acquisition Senior Specialist
  • Support the sales team to achieve the POS transaction revenue and deposits
  • Providing service support to the sales team by ensuring all POS terminal requests are promptly actioned
  • To resolve customer queries received from the sales team, merchants and branches
  • To escalate VISA customer queries to VISA
  • To make follow ups on all queries not resolved within SLA timelines
  • To provide after sales support to merchants
  • To arrange and ensure daily availability of transport for the sales team to conduct merchant visits
  • To ensure POS consumables are available for distribution to Merchants by the sales team
  • To ensure all Merchant account application forms are appropriately filled out and signed
  • To ensure that Merchant files have the necessary KYC documentation for POS account opening
  • To liaise with branch and channel support on Merchant account opening
  • To liaise with branch and channel support on daily reconciliation of POS transactions
  • To identify, profile and report operational risk incidents
  • Ensure proper filing of customer queries and instructions
  • To refer all sales leads to the respective zone coordinators
  • To understand sales leads by talking to customers to understand their requirements
  • To agree annual performance objective with the Merchant Acquisition Senior Specialist
  • To pursue continued improvement in personal development by participating in the development programs and training
  • Potential and existing Merchants

Qualifications

  • Five Credits Grade 12 Certificate including Mathematics and English
  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant subject
  • Three years banking or marketing experience
  • Understanding of banking products and account opening, KYC, Cash and other Branch process requirements
  • Understanding of relevant legislation KYC, Anti – Money laundering, Banking code
  • Understanding of people policies and processes
  • Demonstrated complaint handling and resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written)
