Metallon Corporation Limited (“Metallon”) is a leading gold producer, developer and explorer in southern Africa. Metallon is focused on low cost, high grade mining operations and increasing gold production to 500,000oz pa by 2019. Metallon has four gold mining operations, is dewatering Redwing Mine and exploring additional licences in Zimbabwe.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill in vacancies that have arisen within Metallon Gold Mines.

TRAINING OFFICER

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Mining.
  • Diploma in Training.
  • Hard Rock Miner Training.
  • Possession of a Ful1 Blasting License.
  • Minimum of three years mining experience.
  • Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Management Systems.
  • Computer literate.

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identifying training needs.
  • Preparing and updating mining training manuals, and coordinating preparation of manuals for other processes.
  • Preparing and updating mining standards, and coordinating preparation of standards for other processes.
  • Mining skills training (theory and practical), and coordinating skills training for other processes.
  • Evaluating training.
  • Preparing and implementing the training budget.
