EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – Management Accountant

• Management Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and he/she will have the following key responsibilities among others;
• Preparation, analysis, interpretation and timely reporting of monthly results;
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly Prudential returns and other reports submitted to the central bank;
• Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs);
• Coordination, preparation and consolidation of the company’s budget;
• Preparing and reporting on the annual capital and operating budgets including sales, overheads, distribution and operating costs; and
• Supervision of data input
• Submission of statutory returns before the due date such as taxes, NAPSA, etc;
• Ensure that assets records are kept up to date through physical verification and timely capitalization of fixed assets bought;
• Developing and implementing policies, procedures and controls which would ensure a good control environment is maintained for the business reports;
• Ensure accurate posting of transactions in the general ledger and reconciliation of system and general ledger balances.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years experience in a similar role
• ACCA/CIMA qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable University
• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
• Must have strong leadership and managerial abilities, good interpretational skills and be able to work under pressure
