Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following position aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Finance Division under the MIS Section at Head Office:

MIS ANALYST (X1)

JOB PURPOSE

Improving MIS initiatives and processes to enhance service delivery to all business units in order to radically improve decision making. Support the team in meeting key Reporting deadlines in line with existing service level agreements. Preparation of detailed analytical information retrieved through processes, and routines that are efficient and consistent with the operational procedures to meet the Bank’s information requirement needs.

Under the supervision of the MIS Specialist, the following are among the Job’s Key Responsibilities:-

  • To support the central development and delivery of business segment and business unit performance information.
  • Preparation of statistical information to management and various users for tracking and monitoring purposes.
  • Adherence to standardized MIS procedures on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Consolidation of cyclical performance and accountability reports, financial statements for prudential reporting to financial reporting team.
  • Development and maintenance of efficient functional self-service reports, coordinating data retrieval, OLAP, queries, and reports performed on various systems
  • Identification and placement of initiatives that mitigate reporting challenges to meet SLA requirements.
  • To develop and amend OBIEE reports, and resolve issues that may arise with reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assurance of GL data towards delivery of analytical information to management for assessing bank performance at all levels
  • Provision of constructive audit trail where exceptional variances occur on expenses, income, and other GL accounts that may arise.
  • Any other responsibilities or tasks as may be assigned by management

External: Internal Auditors, Commercial Clients

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 Credits Grade 12 Certificate including Mathematics and English
  • University Degree in Computing and Information Systems
  • At least three (3) years’ experience
  • Certificates in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Mining
