PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The M&E Officer is responsible for and will be assisting the M&E Manager in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of activities under the Z-CHECK FCI Project. The M&E Officer develops and maintains systems to collect and analyze information on inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact of the program. She/he conducts supportive supervisory visits to districts/sites to observe, monitor, guide, and provide feedback on the use of data and indicators; analyze monthly data, and support training of personnel in quality assurance methods. S(he) will support the M&E Manager in ensuring the achievement of overall Project goals and objectives, including the application of M&E frameworks, performance-based result and process indicators, measurement methods, and periodic reviews to identify factors that facilitate and impede the program’s and its partners’ progress.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- M&E Support to the District Coordinators, FMP Coordinators, Staff at churches and health Centers,
- Data Management and Analysis as well as participating in Monitoring and Reporting
- Strengthening of the Program Monitoring System and Participate in evaluations and Research
- Assist M&E Manager to Institutionalize documentation and program strategy
Key Qualifications
- Degree in Demography, Sociology, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies or any related Social Science degree.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Monitoring & Evaluation
- Experience in an electronic database for M&E
- A certificate in M&E as a post-qualification will be an added advantage
Required Skills
- Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Good writing and communication skills (English)
- Excellent data qualitative Skills
- Conduct data quality checks including accuracy and consistency
- Performs any other duties assigned
- Strong team player
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Good Report Writing skills
