PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The M&E Officer is responsible for and will be assisting the M&E Manager in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of activities under the Z-CHECK FCI Project. The M&E Officer develops and maintains systems to collect and analyze information on inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact of the program. She/he conducts supportive supervisory visits to districts/sites to observe, monitor, guide, and provide feedback on the use of data and indicators; analyze monthly data, and support training of personnel in quality assurance methods. S(he) will support the M&E Manager in ensuring the achievement of overall Project goals and objectives, including the application of M&E frameworks, performance-based result and process indicators, measurement methods, and periodic reviews to identify factors that facilitate and impede the program’s and its partners’ progress.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. M&E Support to the District Coordinators, FMP Coordinators, Staff at churches and health Centers,
  2. Data Management and Analysis as well as participating in Monitoring and Reporting
  3. Strengthening of the Program Monitoring System and Participate in evaluations and Research
  4. Assist M&E Manager to Institutionalize documentation and program strategy

Key Qualifications

  • Degree in Demography, Sociology, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies or any related Social Science degree.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Experience in an electronic database for M&E
  • A certificate in M&E as a post-qualification will be an added advantage

Required Skills

  • Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Good writing and communication skills (English)
  • Excellent data qualitative Skills
  • Conduct data quality checks including accuracy and consistency
  • Performs any other duties assigned
  • Strong team player
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work under minimal supervision
  • Good Report Writing skills
