The National Food and Nutrition Commission is a statutory Body established under an Act of Parliament CAP 308 Chapter 41 of 1967, with the mandate of providing promotional, advisory and regulatory support to government on matters of food and nutrition. In line with its mandate, NFNC with support from partners, is implementing Phase Two (2) of the Multisectoral Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN)/1st 1000 Most Critical Days Program in various districts across Zambia.
The Institution now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up positions under this program, at National level:
MONITORING & EVALUATION SPECIALIST
JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure that all nutrition programs are timely monitored and evaluated. The job holder will assist NFNC in data collection, analysis and preparation of nutrition quarterly and annual reports to Facilitate Monitoring and Evaluation of interventions.
KEY RESULT AREAS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY (MAIN DUTIES)
System
Support the development and implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist
M, E & L Technical Working Group
Support with secretarial duties for National M&E, Learning and Research Technical Working Group Copmmittee
Data Managernent
Assist with data quality management for various levels
Common Results Framework
Support the development and maintenance of the Common Results Framework
Data Bases
Ensure development and management of databases
Periodic Reports
Compile MCDP quarterly and Annual reports
Feedback
Provide regular and timely feedback on the performance of nutrition programs to the implementers in order to improve delivery of nutrition interventions
Reports
Generate periodic and progress reports for program activities
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Masters’ Degree in Statistics, Demography, Nutrition, Public Health or any related field of study is required
- Formal training in Monitoring and Evaluation (a must)
- Minimum Five years’ experience in M&E, preferably in nutrition related programs
- Statistical Analysis CSPSS, Epi-lnfo/STATA etc)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of methodologies
- Good presentation skills
- Good computer skilIs in MS Office package
- Experience in training
