The Company seeks the services of a PROJECT PLANNER.

Job Purpose:

To develop and manage short term projects as approved for execution through the Application for Expenditure (AFE) process and manage adhoc schedules required by the operations teams.

Primary / Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and manage short term projects and adhoc schedules as required
  • Complete weekly and monthly project progress reports according to the set requirements
  • Guiding and training of MCM employees that are responsible for executing and managing projects
  • Build relationships with fellow MCM employees to influence change
  • Forecast on revised action plans formulating corrective actions in conjunction with the project teams 6. Forecast on revised completion dates and cashflows as per approved schedule
  • Enforce and comply with the electronic Capital system (which includes OrbFusion and Microsoft Projects Server)
  • Compliance with MCM Capital Asset and Project Management System (POL 019)
  • Attend relevant operations meetings
  • Assist the Project Office and Capital Finance where necessary

To be considered, you must have:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of three [03] years’ work experience, preferably work experience in a Mining Processing environment
  • Excellent networking, people and computer skills especially the Microsoft Office package

Key to the success of this portfolio is the incumbent’s ability to work on his/her own initiative, paying particular attention to company policies and corporate objectives.
