LHD Operators

The Company seeks the services of qualified LHD Operators to drive underground loaders and transport
materials/equipment to various production locations to facilitate production continuity.

Duties will, among others, include:

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the loader
• Safe and efficient operation of the loader,
• Inspect work areas and make safe prior to entry and ensure that ventilation/other safety requirements are in compliance with Mining Regulations and domestic safety regulations.
• Carry out pre-shift checks on the loader, rectify minor defects and report major ones to maintenance personnel.
• Liaise with maintenance personnel and counterparts on tramming levels.
• Understand and follow instructions from his superiors as to required work areas.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbances.
• Locate works area and plan loader route other sectional activities.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the well-being of others.
• Drive the health, safety, and environmental standards/policy awareness and practice in the Department to ensure compliance.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Proof of driving permit is required
• Minimum 2 years post qualification experience
• Should be in possession of a valid Blasting Licence
