Candidate Responsibilities
- To be responsible and accountable for the effective and efficient implementation of the procurement strategy and management of the unit that is aligned with sales and marketing business needs to ensure achievement of the MTN Zambia business objectives
- Procurement planning, coordination, budgetary control, procurement process including tender as applicable and procurement cost management
- Studies and understands sales and marketing long term objectives and requirements in order to provide input into overall development of procurement capability plan
- Checks to ensure that all required information has been provided by Sales, Marketing & Support to complete the sourcing process
- Prepare and present to the Senior Procurement & Logistics Manager weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports in agreed formats and on a timely basis
- Effectively manages the development of direct reports, effectively linking performance management, learning & development, talent management and the MTNZ Employee Value
- Proposition to achieve optimum performance.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Purchasing and Supply / Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
- Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or equivalent and a Corporate Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) with valid Practising License
- 5 years experience in procurement management, of which 3 years must be in managing clearing and logistics activities
- Experienced driver with a clean driving license.
