Job Title: Senior Manager Treasury, Business Planning & Reporting
- To create strategic capacity with regards to strategic financial planning, budget forecast and monthly financial analysis and reporting, and ensure timely submission of the same.
- Contribute to, challenge and implement the long-term strategy for MTN Finance function and ensure alignment of all activities undertaken in the unit to the strategy
- Ensure compliance with lenders and shareholders requirements and integrate with business planning
- Develop a financial plan for short-term strategic view and ensure organisational alignment to company plan and develop re-forecast on a periodic basis through the year and align with current performance and economic and commercial impacts
- Ensure the consolidation of month-end financial reports from functional units to form MTN Zambia month-end financial report
- Monitor and control payments ensuring adequacy of cash reserves to meet the obligations
- Review Treasury policy and make recommendations for any changes
- Maintains financial policies that ensure prudent and professional accounting management of financial interest rate and currency risks
- Develops the reporting function, continually looking for additional information to include in reporting pack that may add value to the users of information
- Directs the compilation of the financial reporting including statutory bodies, shareholders, financial institutions and investors
- Ensure customer needs and requirements are satisfied through appropriate systems, processes and procedures, adopt a proactive approach to prevent problems from arising in the future
- Fulfill a specialist role for ad hoc projects where required, giving specialist input, making recommendations, identifying areas of risk and non-compliance and making recommendations as appropriate
- Put effective controls in place to ensure the accuracy of information and compliance
Candidate Requirements
- ACCA/ CIMA
- First degree
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 5 years financial management experience with at least 3 of those at a management level
- 2 years experience in a large organisation
- Minimum 3 years experience in an external audit environment
- 2 years experience in telecommunications
- Member of a professional accounting body
