Responsibilities

  • Supports the unit achieve its revenue growth by executing customer acquisition and retention strategies within the Corporate Channels and the Consumer Channels in line with MTNZ business objectives;
  • Contributes to the development of the Corporate Sales business plan;
  • Translates approved unit plan into regional business plan for the achievement of regional sales and other business objectives;
  • Sets performance objectives for the sales team in the region, identify and manage the delivery of tools of trade and any other logistical requirements to meet operational effectiveness and business objectives;
  • Retains existing customers by engaging them to ensure that the team consistently meets their needs and expectations. Engages relevant managers from other departments to ensure effective support for the sales team;
  • Oversees the optimisation of sales and penetration into existing key corporate accounts within the region to grow revenues;
  • Oversees efforts to grow the corporate segment revenue base;
  • Manages the debt portfolio for the corporate segment by engaging all accounts via account managers and credit control team to ensure that all accounts are sitting within the allowable credit period;
  • Monitors postpaid debt and ensures that region debt is maintained within budget.
  • Effectively manages the development of direct reports, linking performance management, learning & development, talent management and the MTNZ Employee Value Proposition to achieve optimum performance.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Business/Sales & Marketing Management
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Five (5) years experience in commercial service industry and/or cellular/telecommunication.
