We are therefore inviting applications to fill the following vacant positions:

COMMERCIAL SERVICES EXECUTIVE x 1

Contract: Permanent

Reporting to the Managing Director, the chosen candidate will mainly be responsible for the following;-

Shaping and driving the Commercial agenda in the Traditional African Beer (TAB) Business Unit, with specific responsibility for developing and implementing an integrated commercial strategy for the Business Unit and delivering all the key commercial processes.
The Commercial Services Executive is the strategic interface between Brand Marketing, Channel Marketing and Sales and Distribution leaders in order to embed a strategic integrated approach to commercial resources development and management to deliver business results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing Sales and Distribution management services to line.
  • Providing leadership to Freight, Distribution Services, and Channel Development teams.
  • Co-ordinating programs that assist the business to achieve superior results.
  • Creating high levels of efficiency and effective utilisation of commercial resources to enhance productivity.
  • Reviewing and developing policies and processes that promote high productivity within the commercial function.
  • Ensuring best practices in commercial management.
  • Ensuring sound management of Third Party Distributor operations.
  • Ensuring sound industrial relations that enhance productivity.
  • Equipping line with the necessary channel, sales and distribution management skills.

 

MAJOR CHALLENGES AND PROBLEM SOLVING

  • Ensuring that the Department attracts superior skills and sustains a superior skills base.
  • Equipping line management and Commercial Services with the requisite commercial management skills
  • Ensuring that department adopts sound sales and distribution management practices that create a productive industrial relations climate.
  • Creating awareness in the efficient and effective utilisation of sales and distribution resources to enhance productivity.
  • Managing Channel, Distribution and Freight resources to achieve sustainability and high productivity.
  • Managing Third Party Distributors to ensure operation within agreed terms as well as exploit the Distributor market potential.
  • Championing concepts and practices that promote a focused performance culture in the department.
  • Researching on and developing policies and practices in line with best operating practice – benchmark performance against best practice e.g. Distributor models in the Region

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with Six (6) Credits.
  • A degree in Business/Marketing/Commerce plus a professional diploma in Marketing Management
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Commercial Management, 3 Of them at a senior level.
  • Incumbent should possess the following skills:-
  • Mature analytical and statistical analysis skills, Leadership and problem solving skills, Change
  • Management skills, Computer skills, Communication and
  • Presentation skills and Negotiation skills.
