MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Contract: Permanent

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidates will be accountable for the following:

  • Ensuring compliance to safety, healthy & environmental legislation
  • Managing and applying personnel practices
  • Maintaining system integrity and change control
  • Maintaining and calibrating site instrumentation
  • Ensuring that there is an application of documented standards
  • Developing and updating engineering standards
  • Optimising use of planned maintenance system
  • Applying formal failure analysis process
  • Applying relevant engineering spares strategy
  • Managing the budgeting process
  • Controlling maintenance costs
  • Reviewing financial results

The job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements and possess the following attributes.

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with Six (6) Credits.
  • BSc or Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)
  • Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) with Diploma in Packaging/Brewing (IBD) and/or additional business qualification
  • Ability to work odd hours under minimum supervision
  • Committed to quality, sober character and attentive to detail.
  • Physical fitness and hardworking
  • Computer literate added advantage
