STORES OFFICER
Stores Officer is responsible for ensuring day-to-day management of stores, workshop and filling station and management of fuel allocations to Partners, is subordinate and reports to the Project Coordinator.
Stores Officer is responsible for the following activities:
Support and assist Project Coordinator and other project team members;
- Ensure that all motor vehicle spare parts, lubricants and workshop equipment arriving at stores are well received, documented and stored
- Ensure that correct quantities of motor vehicle spare parts and lubricants requested for are issued and documented
- Ensure that all motor vehicle spare parts, lubricants and workshop equipment received are well recorded and checked for accuracy
- Ensure that all motor vehicle spare parts and lubricants leaving stores have waybills
- Update bin cards and stock report when receiving or issuing any item
- Control movement of stock of all items in stores – UNHCR workshop, filling station, food warehouse and non-food warehouse in Meheba Refugee Settlement
- Manage stock levels of goods in workshop, filling station and warehouses
- Conduct monthly physical inventory and prepare reports for the workshop, filling station and warehouses on weekly and monthly basis
- Maintain all records for vehicle maintenance and spare parts
- Monitor fuel usage and issuance at Meheba depot and conduct weekly and monthly reports
- Receive fuel from the supplier, inspect that the supplier supplies the right amount of fuel procured and ensure that standard procedures for receiving fuel are followed
- Collect, process and manage UNHCR Partner fuel reports and requests
- Ensure accuracy of the data reported to the Project Coordinator
- Participate in development/update of the Standard Operating Procedures for UNHCR warehouses in Meheba Refugee Settlement
- Inform the Project Coordinator on unexpected circumstances or development in the stores;
- Participate in procurement of project material and services;
- Help with other relevant priority tasks when necessary as assigned by the Project Coordinator.
Requirements
- Education Diploma University degree in Supply chain management/Business Administration or equivalent.
- Professional experience in supply chain management or comparable role.
- Experience in Procurement/Logistics/Warehouse management
- Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Good organizational and team skills.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
- NGO experience and understanding of humanitarian sector- an added advantage.
- Commitment to and understanding of CCR vision, mission and value
- Good time management, commitment, team worker, innovative, reliable and hardworking, able to work under pressure
Duty station: Meheba Field Office, Solwezi Working Time: Full time
