EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Diploma/Degree in Travel and Tourism and/or any other relevant qualification
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in Reservations.
• Computer literacy in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Opera

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure Effective Operations of the Reservations Department in meeting the business goals of the Hotel.
• Training of Reservation Department in all aspects of reservations operations to ensure a high degree of accuracy in guests’ reservations.
• Assist Revenue Management with Inventory Management, including maintenance of allotment, group blocks, and rate codes in all applicable systems.
  Monitor daily arrivals by ensuring all guests requests are carried out and communicated to other relevant departments.
• Ensuring booking status is constantly up to date; no backlog of reservations.
• Taking personal responsibility in maximizing quality levels of product and service and guest satisfaction.
• Submit requested reports and information to regional/corporate office in a timely manner.
• Liaise with the Accounting Department for accounting an up to date information related Reservation procedures, reports and operational problems and payments of commission.
• Perform all management administration with regard to staffing: Rostering, time and leave management etc
