Roland Imperial Tobacco Company Limited- Factory Division seeks to recruit a Quality Controller to join our team.

Job Title: Quality Controller

Job Specification

Reports to: Laboratory Technician

Job Description

• Test and inspect products at various stages of the production process
• Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Maintain record of inspections and prepare list of defects
• Report quality problems or findings to Laboratory Technician and Operations Manager. Follow up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place.
• Capture daily production data including cut rag used, master cases produced and cigarettes on trolleys.
• Monitor waste performance of the making and packing lines on a daily basis. Provide a report to the Laboratory Technician and Operations Manager.
• Calibrate and maintain quality control equipment in the laboratory.
• Prepare samples of products for test purposes, whenever required.
• Verify conformance to standards of raw materials received such as filters, cut rag and cup wrappers.
• Drive the tobacco weevil infestation control program at the factory
• Assist to train Operators and General Workers on product quality standards and measurements as required

Candidate Specification

• Experience: 2 years
• Education Level: Minimum Grade 12 Certificate with at least 3 merits
• Qualifications: Minimum Diploma in Laboratory Technology
• Competence: ICT literacy
