Concern is implementing the Zambia Female Youths Livelihood and Nutrition Enhancement Project (FYNEP) in collaboration with the World Bank with funding from the Japanese Social Development Fund. The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to improve access to livelihood opportunities and nutrition among selected female youths in targeted project areas. The project has 4 main components: a life skills curriculum to increase control and knowledge around life choices and nutrition, a livelihoods component focussed on agricultural livelihoods related to improve nutrition, a health component to directly support pre-conception nutrition and nutrition outreach. This project will benefit an estimated 24,600 persons in Limulunga and Kaoma Districts of Western Province and started on the 1st July 2015 with three-year duration.

Project Support Officer (PSO) (1 in Limulunga District)

We are currently recruiting a consultant for the role of Project Support Officer. The main objective of this position is to coordinate the implementation of the Zambia Female Youths Livelihood and Nutrition Enhancement project activities in Kaoma by developing work plans, implementing and fine-turning project Activities and working closely with relevant stakeholder in the project area.

The consultant must have:

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any of the following; nutrition, health, community development, agriculture or related field.
  • At least 3 years progressive field experience working with rural communities with a focus on agriculture, life skills, health or nutrition.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with youths and young women.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with an empowering style
  • Training experience in a related field
  • Ability to ride a motorcycle, with valid license or willingness to learn to ride a motorcycle.
