Nkana Water and Sewerage Company is a Commercial Water Utility Company providing quality Water and Sanitation Services to its customers in Kitwe, Kalulushi and Chambishi. In its quest to improve service delivery, the Company seeks to employ suitable, highly motivated and goal oriented professionals to fill the following vacancies:

QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER (X1)

Job Purpose

To carry out analysis of water and wastewater in order to meet the ZS 1900:2010 drinking water and ZEMA standards for wastewater accordingly.

Job Accountabilities:

• Ensure all sampling protocols for both internal and external samples as per laid down guidelines.
• Prepare quotations for analysis Of samples for external clients.
• Ensure Laboratory equipment is in good working order, calibrated when due and records kept accordingly.
• Ensure reagents and chemicals for analysis are available at all times and advise Superior on stock levels in order to ensure timely procurement.
• To prepare all standards as required and monitor protocols regarding these.
• To carry out water analysis for all samples and ensure Service Level
• Guarantees are met for both internal and external clients.
• To ensure analysis results are all recorded/reported accordingly
• To ensure Laboratory Safety is maintained and upheld at all times.
• To compile data for daily reports, monthly, quarterly and for any report as requested by the supervisor.
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications/Experience

• Full Grade Twelve Certificate
• Degree in related Sciences (preferably with a Chemistry major)
• Computer Literate
• Two years working experience in a busy Laboratory

• Available when called upon (outside normal hours) when need arises.
