EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Occupational Health and Safety Institute located in Kitwe, established under the Occupational Health and Safety Act No 36 of 2010 is looking a suitably qualified and experienced Zambians to fill the following positions:

HUMAN RESOURCE AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (1)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

To supervise and undertake the provision of human resources functions in order to enhance operations and staff development

Key Duties and Responsibility

  • Timely identification of staff vacancies in order to facilitate recruitment and placement
  • Timely preparation of training plan to facilitate the training of staff
  • Timely preparation of payroll inputs in order to facilitate recoveries and payment of salaries
  • Timely and accurate interpretation of employment law and Terms and Conditions and Service in order to enhance adherence
  • Effective provision of maintenance of staff registry services in order to enhance accessibility. security and flow of information,
  • Coordinate employee inductions, including review and development
  • Consistent updates on performance management exercises every quarter, ensuring all Sections are complying
  • Disciplinary procedures and absence management
  • Any other duties as directed by the HR and Administration Manager

Qualifications/Experience

Full Form V or Grade 12 School Certificate; Minimum BA Human Resource Management or equivalent; Minimum of 5 years’ experience which should be at management level; Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
