Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit and Decision Support and Planning Analyst within Finance Department. The main purpose of the role is to manage the company capex and opex planning process, provide accurate and relevant business trend and forecast analysis aimed at providing business direction and decision.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Controller, the incumbent’s role will include;

  • Manage the Annual Operating Plan process by fully understanding technical requirements and guidelines given by the Central Business Planning Department
  • Coordinate and get inputs from functional units and align with the respective Head of Department on the same
  • Manage any changes to the Annual Operating Plan from Central Business Planning department by liaising with users to align or respond to the same.
  • Coordinate the monthly “Flash and Forecast” process to refresh the expectation in the annual budget and assist in planning changing circumstances
  • Periodic preparation of the Board pack to update Board members on business operations and key interventions needed at their level
  • Benchmark performance against competition and other relevant international performance benchmarks
  • Assist project owners in evaluating the business benefits of all new projects by ensuring they are properly validated within set timelines
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts to monitor and manage the short term cash needs of the company
  • Control capex and opex expenditure within the annual budget or given expenditure target

Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit a Key Account Manager within the Enterprise Department. The main purpose of the role is to oversee the conceptualization, planning, development and implementation of Account Management within the Corporate Sales Sector.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Sales, the incumbent’s role will include;

  • Meet and exceed given sales targets
  • Develop multi-level and multi-functional relationships (CEO, CFO, CIO and Business Unit Leaders) to drive solutions that are innovative and provide value relative to the customer’s respective business needs
  • Understand the customer’s business and IT strategy; map these requirements to industry trends, as well as with existing customer requirements where Airtel solutions provide value.
  • Responsible for overall account management, account development, relationship and sales development. Work with the expanded team to provide overall account strategy and direction
  • Serve as customer advocate, accountable for escalation and proper customer positioning on all issues pertaining to customer satisfaction with the authority of representation across organizational and departmental boundaries
  • Through a proactive approach to periodic reviews with key contacts within the organization, ensure maximum customer exposure and response to business development requirements
  • Ensure that all account plans, organizational charts, and related documentation e.g. the executive summary, line management detail level, and customer contract are current and on file record.
  • Provide overall management of critical target market list and information relative to the customers including legal, product pricing, commercial management relative to contract agreements, price books, pricing tools, one-off deal specific bids, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting in Sales pipeline management, all regular and ad hoc sales reports and analysis as and when requested.

Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit a Legal Affairs Manager within the Legal & Regulatory Department. The main purpose of the role is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Legal department and is required to provide competent legal advice in a practical, timely manner to enable the company to conduct its business within the existing legal framework while ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.

Reporting to the Legal and Regulatory Director, the incumbent’s role will include;

  • Ensure contracts are drafted and reviewed in compliance to regulation, within given deadlines and in the best interest of the company
  • Provide legal opinions and support to the relevant teams on issues affecting them on a day to day basis
  • Interpret contracts and various documents to ensure compliance with the terms and the applicable law
  • Ensure amicable resolution of disputes that are brought to the attention of the Legal Department in consultation with the relevant department
  • Manage contracted external legal counsel on litigation matters and prepare letters of engagement for them on all new instructions
  • Provide external counsel with all relevant information and connect them with the relevant witnesses
  • Attend major court cases together with external counsel
  • Ensure institutional awareness of relevant law and provide updates on any new laws relevant to the business and their application
  • Ensure timely registration of trademarks and IP.
  • Prepare quarterly compliance reports and periodical reporting such as monthly legal report, Internal Audit report case register and quarterly compliance checklists
  • Manage the spend for legal services as guided by the Annual Operating Plan
  • Support external Company Secretarial service provision internally.
