The University of Lusaka is one of Zambia’s private universities established to be a Centre of excellence in education, training, research and consultancy. We have a diverse range of tailor made programmers with rich curriculums designed to meet the changing needs of business and society. The University of Lusaka seeks to recruit highly qualified, motivated full time Lecturers in the School of Law. The persons ought to be passionate about making a mark in the education sector. The University is looking for people who are well vested in the areas of Commercial Law, Criminal and Civil Procedure Administrative Law.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting Lecturers for full-time, part-time and Distance classes
  • Develop and improve course outlines and teaching materials for programs
  • Carry out research and publish materials
  • Prepare lesson plans at the start of each semester for the course
  • Be involved in other administrative duties as an when assigned by management
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with strong intellectual ability
  • Ability to teach more than one course in a given program should be a goal getter, a team player and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be articulate and have strong interpersonal skills high level of planning and organizing skills including multi-tasking

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, credit or better
  • Master’s Degree in the relevant field of expertise obtained with a research/ thesis component
  • A PHD in any of the fields mentioned above will be an added advantage
  • Qualification in Teaching/ Lecturer experience will be an added
  • Admission to the bar will be an added advantage
