Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation with the University of Maryland is now hiring for the position of Community Liaison Officer

Openings available: Monze, Mazabuka, Chikankata, Kazungula, Livingstone, and Lusaka

Job Description: Under the supervision of an HIV nurse conduct HIV index testing and compile daily and weekly data reports on persons HIV tested and linked to care. Mentor, monitor, and support HIV Community Health Workers that are doing both facility and community based HIV testing and linkage to care.

Qualifications:

• Preference is given to applicants who already live in the communities being served
• Preference is given to applicants registered with the Zambia Counseling Council
• Fluency in Tonga will be an added advantage
• Bachelors or Diploma in Social Work or community service related subject
• Computer literacy in Excel and Word
• Certificate in HIV Counseling and Testing, other HIV/ART Trainings additional benefit
• Work experience with HIV Counseling and Testing, Index testing preferred, key populations, adolescents, and data management
