Job Description
The Psychosocial counselor will report directly to the Country Director. The Counselor will be responsible for providing psychosocial support to youths and families.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide psycho social support to youths and families
- Providing counseling services through the toll-free line
- Case management and referrals
- Preparing Counselling records
- Attending to clients who visit the center
- Collecting and recording daily counseling statistics
- Counseling and responding to call center phone calls
- Follow up cases and case management
Essential Skills
- High standards of personal integrity and professional work skills
- Effective communication skills and the ability to establish good working relationships
- Effective written, oral and presentational skills
- Ability to meet project deadlines
- Ability to use data and information management systems
Requirements
- Relevant Qualifications in Clinical Psychology with 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven work experience in Counselling
- Tech skills: Typing, E-mail, Word, Excel, scanning, punctuality, reliability and attention to detail
- Exceptionally organized with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
This position is based in Lusaka Province for a three months’ period.
Compensation is based on education, experience, and suitability for the role.
