In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on the one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented and well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacancies:

INTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICER — GRADE: ZRA05 (3 POSITIONS)

Reporting to the Senior Internal Affairs Officer, the job holder will be required to conduct speedy, objective and cost-effective investigations into allegations of corruption, fraud and other malpractices within the Zambia Revenue Authority and make appropriate recommendations to the Board Secretary.

MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

The main duties and accountabilities of this position include but not limited to the following:

  • Collect intelligence information on suspected corrupt practices within the Authority;
  • Develop and implement corruption and fraud prevention programmes;
  • Investigate cases authorized by the Board Secretary and submit written reports with appropriate recommendations within reasonable time;
  • Attend disciplinary committee sittings and court sessions whenever required;
  • Participate in corruption and fraud prevention activities aimed at sensitizing staff on the dangers of the vices;
  • Prepare weekly and monthly plans for investigations and produce reports accordingly;
  • Review information received on allegations of corruption and fraud by employees and make appropriate recommendations and;
  • Liaise with other law enforcement agencies and bodies on matters patterning to corruption and fraud.

REQUIREMENTS

  • G12 School Certificate/General Certificate of Education or equivalent
  • University degree in social science.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) will be an added advantage.
  • Formal training in investigations concepts, methods and techniques.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Investigator in corruption and fraud matters.
