Positions: Lecturer and Online Course Development
Online Academic Program: Bachelor in Law
Astria Learning is looking for Doctoral Level (for Masters Programs) and Masters Level (Bachelors programs) University Lecturers with a background in Law that are looking for schedule and/or mobility flexibility and want to contribute to our goal of making quality higher education accessible around the world. These talented and eager individuals would deliver and/or develop content for our numerous courses offered through different institutional partnerships around the world. The position is remote, and it involves working closely with Graduate Students that are undergoing their Higher Education or Certificate Program online with one of our partner universities around the world.
The ideal candidate will have an eagerness to support academic and skills development via distance learning to individuals in developing countries through education, research, and quality assurance.
The ideal candidate will be open to supervising other Quality Assurance initiatives as an individual or as part of a specific committee. It is desirable that the candidate has the availability to travel for Seminars, Events etc.. to represent the company and/or our client Institutions, but not required.
Course Delivery will require engagement with students and 1 to 2 synchronous sessions over the course length. The professor will have to adapt grading and evaluation to the institutions’ parameters. Will commit to the contribution of their efforts to the development of future and current professionals and leaders around the globe.
For the Online Lecturer Position:
  • Each course usually lasts 8 weeks
  • Online instructors are required to give feedback, grade and actively participate in course activities
  • Online instructors may be required to record video tutorials
  • It is also required to schedule and deliver at least two online live sessions per course
  • We offer a Compensation per student, per course
  • The average number of students per course is around 20, and the minimum number of students required to offer a course is 10.

Requirements

  • Preferably PhD in Law, possibly Masters degree in Law
  • English – Fluent Speaking and writing – Required
  • Teaching experience in Law academic programs
  • Online teaching experience
  • Experience developing Law online courses
  • Home Office (No background noise)
  • Headset
  • Personal Computer
  • Fast and reliable Internet Connection
  • Online Teaching (Preferred not required)
  • Publications in Journals (Highly preferred)
  • Background/credentials check
