Operations and KYC Manager: MTN Zambia

Responsible for planning and execution of GSM and Mobile SIM registrations in line with ZICTA and Bank of Zambia (BOZ) Regulatory Requirements. The role also involves; continuous evaluation of processes and interfaces to ensure compliance of high-quality registrations, implementation of new acquisition processes and compliance of the existing customer base as per regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manages MTN Zambia KYC in line with BOZ and ZICTA KYC guidelines.
  • Assists in developing and managing MTN Sales Back Office operations, processes and procedures to ensure adherence to all regulatory and license requirements including KYC reporting, compliance tracking, and investigation.
  • Management of storage process in line with BOZ / ZICTA KYC guidelines.
  • Develops and manages the MTN SIM registration product training strategy.
  • Manages contracts and application forms from dealers, business partners, merchants, and customers.
  • Monitors, coordinates and improves the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR, Finance and MTZ central finance.
  • Back office operational control and customer support including but not restricted to agent queries.
  • Runs MIS reports and produces statistics e.g. trend analysis graphs
  • Acts as a support link to Compliance and Finance on ensuring that KYC requirements are adhered to within the MTN Distribution Channel.
  • Completes and returns daily/weekly/monthly operational reports.
  • Assists the internal, external and state auditors during the conduct of their audits.
  • Carries out any related duties that will enhance the mission of the job.
  • Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress and maintain motivation
  • Manages performance and career development of direct reports.
  • Manage the performance of the team by periodic appraisals and mentoring.
  • Identify staff training and development needs and support the implementation of necessary actions.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or IT related field /Equivalent qualifications
  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the area of specialization in a medium to the large organization; with 3 years supervising/managing others
  • Good understanding of KYC management process
